Support for hospices

We're supporting the Master Cutler's Challenge to raise funds for the superb work of Rotherham Hospice and St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield - could you, your company or organisation, also help?

The charities were chosen by this year's Master Cutler, head of The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire, formed nearly 400 years ago and still supporting industry across South Yorkshire, is Rotherham businessman Gordon Bridge, chief executive of the highly successful AESSEAL, producer of mechanical seals for pumps worldwide.

A £5,000 donation by investment capital company 3i has been split into £50 "seeds" for companies and organisations to grow into more cash for the hospices.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council's Environment & Development Services directorate - RiDO's parent body within the council - is nearing the £1,000 mark.
