Industry: Metals Technology

Key Team Members: Dion Vaughan (CEO), Michael Stephenson (Director)

Background:

Metalysis Ltd. is a Cambridge University spin out company which has the commercial rights to exploit the FFC Cambridge process developed in the University’s materials department.

Originally based in Cambridge, Metalysis needed facilities to scale up the technology and develop a manufacturing site. The company today continues on its journey, having now developed technology to create low-cost, quality metal powders for use in 3D printing and other additive manufacturing processes.

Assistance: RiDO have helped Metalysis with site identification, recruitment and training, PR, local supply chain links and continue to help with the company’s impressive growth plans.
