Nominations are now open for the 2012 Yorkshire International Trade Awards

We are pleased to announce that nominations and entries are now open for the inaugural Insider International Trade Awards, designed to celebrate the success of companies involved with overseas trade.

If you are, know of, or work with an exceptional company engaged in overseas trade, please forward details so they can enter the awards.

NB: These awards are only open to companies registered in Yorkshire.

Closing date for entries is Wednesday 29th February 2012 with the event taking place on Wednesday 23rd May 2012.

The awards categories and criteria include:

Manufacturing and Engineering
This award is for companies exporting or importing manufactured and or engineered goods.

Consumer and leisure
This award is for consumer products and leisure companies engaged in exporting to, or importing from, overseas markets.

This award is for higher education providers engaged in overseas activities, including joint ventures, consultancy, training and/or those operating with a physical presence in foreign markets.

Energy Provider
This award is for energy providers, or companies associated with the energy industry, that are engaged in international trade. Examples of qualifying companies are those working in the oil, gas and renewable energy industries.

Food and Drink
This award is for food and drink manufacturers engaged in exporting to, or importing from, overseas markets.

Technology provider
This award is for companies selling their technology to foreign markets, with or without a physical overseas presence, and those partnering overseas companies.

Inward investment
This award is for overseas companies that have made a physical or financial investment in Yorkshire and the Humber through relocation, acquisition or expansion. Entries can be supplied by overseas investors or via inward investment bodies.

Growth via International Trade
This award is open to all companies. It aims to reward those businesses that have achieved the highest levels of turnover and/or profit growth via trading with international markets.

This award is for companies providing healthcare products and or services to overseas markets, and those partnering with overseas companies.

Entries are for achievements between 1st January 2011 and 31st December 2011.

Shortlisted entries and winners of each category will be announced at the event.

Your entry will be treated in the strictest of confidence and will not be disclosed to any third party in any way. Decisions on this and other matters concerning entries are at the sole discretion of the judges, whose ruling will be final.
