Eadon Consulting, the engineering design and consultancy firm based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) in Rotherham is currently enjoying a period of expansion.

Having been founded only five years ago, Eadon has not only established itself as a key player within a number of markets, but has also seen notable growth across all aspects of the business.

Eadon’s clients are located around the world, from Sweden to New Zealand, and the company have undertaken projects in a variety of industry sectors including Waterways and Flood defence, Renewable Energy and Moveable structures and bridges, with staff currently focusing on a number of bridging and building projects.
Eadon prides itself on providing excellent quality projects. Having been regularly invited to be part of teams working on both national and international projects, Eadon have been able to break into new sectors of work by utilising existing skills and capabilities. Working on Offshore handling and Nuclear projects has given the team the chance to further develop their impressive portfolio and has allowed them to continue to set examples of first class customer service.

Over the past few years the business has witnessed a string of changes, so much so that Eadon Consulting today is almost unrecognisable from the small home based business it originated from.

Founded in 2007 with the aim of delivering a fresh approach to engineering design and consultancy, James Hill, David Price and Michael Thorogood set out to create a client focused company that was able to provide specialist services and was dedicated to exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

Eadon has already moved office four times within the AMP Technology Centre due to the growing nature of the business, with the past 6 months have seen four new staff join the expanding Eadon team. Their arrival brings the team up to 14 people currently and with an expanding list of exciting projects and clients to their name Eadon are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to expand. The company aims to develop its current team to around 20 staff within the next few years.

Speaking recently founding partner Michael Thorogood said that the company was excited by the recent emphasis on growth within the business but would work to ensure that its main focus remained providing the highest level of service to its customers.

Michael also commented on Eadon’s future at the Advanced Manufacturing Park saying ‘We enjoy being among likeminded technical companies here at the AMP and although we now work on many global projects being based on the Park gives Eadon excellent networking opportunities with a range of different engineering companies’. Michael is currently working on an innovative bridging project in New Zealand.

Eadon is looking forward to a bright future and will constantly aim to deliver a bespoke engineering service, unrivalled by industry counterparts.
