Leading manufacturing technology experts converge on Sheffield and Rotherham next month, when the region hosts the global metalworking industry’s premier aerospace conference, TRAM 2015.
The impact of new materials, technologies and changes in the supply chain will be centre stage at the event, which is transferring from Chicago’s International Manufacturing Technology Show to Rotherham’s Magna Science Adventure Centre this year.
TRAM focuses on transferring advanced manufacturing technologies to business leaders, managers and engineers who lead or play a key role in a facility that serves the aerospace and broader higher value manufacturing sector.
Places at the conference and the associated exhibition have been filling up fast, but there are still some opportunities for delegates and exhibitors to register by visiting www.tramconference.com.
Speakers include top executives and technologists from leading global aerospace companies Boeing and Airbus, machine and cutting tool manufacturers, materials and metrology companies as well as leading academics and engineers involved in the cutting edge of research and development.
TRAM is being organised by the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, the Association for Manufacturing Technology, Gardner Business Media and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
The conference programme is a collaboration between industry, academia and the media, spotlighting the latest trends in aerospace manufacturing.
AMRC commercial director, Adrian Allen, said: “TRAM will not only give companies in the aerospace supply chain a vital insight into developing technologies, it also gives this region a chance to showcase the skills and capabilities that make it a world leader for advanced manufacturing.”
